Get In Line For The 2020 VW Jetta
The 2020 Volkswagen Jetta is one of the best compact sedans you can buy today. Santa Cruz Volkswagen shoppers enjoy the Jetta’s user-friendly features, quiet and comfortable ride, and spacious cabin. The 2020 Jetta’s interior offers more room than some midsize sedans.
According to the Volkswagen dealer near Santa Cruz, there are a few notable changes for 2020. A Wi-Fi hotspot is now standard across the Jetta lineup. The SEL trim now comes with 17-inch alloys and a Cold Weather package, while the SEL and SEL Premium now have wireless charging.
The 2020 Jetta seats five passengers and comes in five trim levels, listed as S, SE, R-Line, SEL and SEL Premium. The Jetta employs a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 147 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. On the S and R-Line trims, this engine is connected to a standard six-speed manual transmission or an optional eight-speed automatic gearbox that’s standard on the other trims. The 2020 Volkswagen Jetta gets EPA-estimated fuel economy rated at 30 mpg city/40 mpg highway.*
Automotive Press Praise
Kelley Blue Book’s kbb.com wrote: “Designed for Americans, the Jetta is from a European marque and so has some sophistication permeating each aspect. ... [T]he 2020 Jetta responds well when tasked to accelerate or tackle corners. It balances handling agility with a smooth ride quality, a trait often attributed to European marques.”
We particularly like Volkswagen’s Digital Cockpit, which comes standard on the upper SEL and SEL Premium models. Digital Cockpit is a driver-information display that can be configured to display a range of data, including a speedometer, a fuel economy indicator, a tachometer, an altimeter, a compass, navigation, phone controls and more. This system makes it easy for the driver to switch between the displays to get whatever information is needed at the moment. Drivers can store up to four display preferences and control settings that include the cabin temperature, side mirrors and seat positions.
