Seaside Car Dealers Review The
Volkswagen Jetta Trim Levels
The 2019 Volkswagen Jetta never fails to impress buyers at dealers like the Seaside car dealership. Some of the reasons this compact sedan remains so popular are its quiet cabin, superlative amount of passenger space, the latest tech features and Volkswagen’s 6-year/72,000-mile transferable bumper-to-bumper warranty.
For 2019, the Jetta gets a redesign that adds a bit more length and a longer wheelbase, which translates into more room for the driver and front-seat passenger than the outgoing model. According to the car dealer near Seaside, new technology features include standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, as well as optional driver-assist technology such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring.
The 2019 Volkswagen Jetta seats five passengers and is offered in five trim levels: S, SE, the new R-Line, SEL and SEL Premium. There’s also a performance Jetta GLI variant, not covered here. All trims are powered by a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine producing 147 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque. We’ll take a look at the different models and discover the features that come with each one.
Volkswagen Jetta S
The base Volkswagen Jetta S offers buyers an economical price tag without skimping on features. The S gets a standard six-speed manual transmission and an available eight-speed automatic. The S includes 16-inch wheels, cloth upholstery, air conditioning, power windows and door locks, a rearview camera, LED headlights, cruise control, an infotainment system with a 6.5-inch display, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, VW Car-Net App-Connect, a four-speaker audio system, Bluetooth and a USB port.
The available Driver Assist package adds autonomous emergency braking, forward collision warning, rear cross traffic alert and blind spot monitoring.
The SE trim starts with the features found in the S trim, but the SE and higher trims get the eight-speed automatic transmission standard. The SE also adds dual-zone climate control, a sunroof, leatherette upholstery, heated front seats, keyless access and push-button start. Standard safety features include forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring.
A Cold Weather package is available on the SE, R-Line and SEL trims. It features a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats and remote start.
The Jetta R-Line brings a slightly different appearance to the lineup. It includes 17-inch alloy wheels, gloss black components instead of the chrome grille and mirror caps, and an exclusive rear bumper. The interior features R-Line badging and contrasting stitching on the steering wheel. The R-line also gets VW’s XDS front differential.
The SEL trim adds some advanced technology gear, including adaptive cruise control, Digital Cockpit, an upgraded infotainment system with an 8-inch screen, a BeatsAudio stereo system with eight speakers, HD radio, satellite radio and an extra USB port. Also standard are 16-inch alloys and a 10-color ambient lighting setup. Standard safety equipment includes auto high-beam control, lane keeping assist, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and automatic wipers.
The top-line SEL Premium trim comes with the features of the Cold Weather package, along with 17-inch wheels, heated and cooled front seats, genuine leather upholstery, an eight-way power driver’s seat with memory, a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats and navigation.
