Volkswagen Phaeton Building Momentum in China

Friday, October 31st, 2014

The Volkswagen Phaeton was originally manufactured in Dresden nearly fifteen years ago and is considered to be one of the most ambitious flagship models of Volkswagen. This Volkswagen model was developed to compete against the Mercedes S-Class and the BMW 7 Series. Recently, sales have seen a strong upward trend with a total of 24,000 vehicles sold so far. Volkswagen reported that the majority of these vehicles have not been purchased in “normal” Volkswagen dealers in the industrial areas or in the Chinese car centers, but instead at the exclusive Volkswagen lounges that can be found in elegant, expensive urban or residential areas. Currently there are 29 Volkswagen lounges, and once the next-generation model comes to market in 2016 or 2017 ten more lounges will be opened. Volkswagen Bringing Sexy Back with Beetle Classic Model

Wednesday, October 1st, 2014

Volkswagen announced that it would bring back the Beetle Classic Model last month and while some fans might have wondered if the German automaker planned on bringing back the real classic Beetle with manual window cranks and the engine in the trunk, we knew they meant an updated version of the classic. Although many people hoped Volkswagen would put the old Beetle on showroom floors, Volkswagen introduced a 2015 Limited Edition 1.8T Beetle that features many throwback elements from the original model. Some of these features include the vehicle’s 17-inch aluminum wheels and basic paint colors. Kerry Deutsch, Volkswagen Product Planner, said: “We didn’t want to turn people away by offering only what the Beetle was in the past. We can appeal to a younger demographic who want their cars to be modern, but by putting in the vintage feel, we can appeal to the older demographic who are nostalgic for the vehicle.” If you would like to read the full article please click on the link below:
